Black Future Month PDF Print E-mail
by Minister of Information JR
Tuesday, 06 November 2007

We have a Black History Month; we also need a Black present and future month to see where we need to go. Right before writing this, I was on the phone with Chairman Fred talking about the new "Amerikkkan Gangster" movie starring Denzel Washington, T.I. and Common, among other people.

He stressed the importance of pointing out, first, how Frank Lucas, the dope dealer that the movie is based on, worked for the United States government as an agent. He asked what Black man who couldn't read or write could go into the jungles of Asia during the Vietnam War and happen to run into the opium drug lords. Then buy hundreds of kilos of heroin, bring it back on government planes, sometimes in the coffins of U.S. soldiers, and sell it in Harlem, New York, and not be an agent of the U.S. government.
He talked about how people say that the government worked for him is b.s. He worked for the government, which was using the drugs for political objectives.

I wrote about this conversation because it is very important for us to have politics that help us to understand the many different means and ways that the government, big media and the ruling class in general will try to co-opt us into looking up to people like Frank Lucas and, for that matter, Ricky Ross, Nicky Barnes and Rayful Edmonds as rebels, when in reality they worked for the genocidal agenda of the United States government in much the same way as Black slave catchers back in the day.

It is a cold form of brainwashing our community into thinking in a way that would ultimately be subservient to the government's self-interest and detrimental to our own. The Chairman later pointed out how rapper Slave - Z, formerly known as Jay Z, said publicly that Frank Lucas' story reminded him of his life. Al "the F.B.I. wire wearing" Sharpton, Slave - Z and Frank Lucas are supposed to hook up in the near future and start working together. It's interesting to see who is attracted to who.

I wrote about all of this to say that the Black community is still at war with the U.S. government, white supremacy and capitalism for the minds of our people, and our survival is what's at stake. The government knows that and that is why they invest millions into media production such as "Amerikkkan Gangster," and it serves a number of purposes. Two being to get us to adopt some heroes that they created for us, that serve them, and to make the term "Amerikkkan Gangster" synonymous with Black young people in the minds of the hundreds of millions of people around the world who tune into Amerikkkan media instead of waiting for the term to be placed on Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell, Rice, among the thousands of international criminals that make up the United States government.

Everything is political. And we must have the revolutionary politics to determine ourselves from the state, the people's interest vs. the Amerikkkan empire's interest. In short, that is the objective for this month, with an emphasis on young people.
