![]() The Black Riders Liberation Party was formed in 1996 in the belly of the beast – by young people in a college class at the California Youth Authority. There will be a rally after the trial outside of the court building. There will also be a meeting to build support for the Black Riders. At the last court hearing, there were 15 Riders and only seven community supporters. If the support is not visible, they will get isolated and railroaded. Stand with our comrades and smash the police state! Comrades Stress and Aryanna were arrested on Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles a few weeks ago and Comrades General TACO and Michelle were picked up in the Bay Area near Oakland recently. They are all being charged with conspiracy to buy and sell automatic weapons. Stress was on Crenshaw and Coliseum organizing and talking to people when he was picked up by the police. Aryanna was waiting for the bus on Crenshaw when she was arrested. General TACO and Michelle were organizing in the Bay Area when they were picked up and are waiting to be transferred to Los Angeles - the warrant is in Los Angeles County. Bail is set to $500,000 for each of them. This happened only weeks after their homes in Crenshaw District and San Bernadino were raided by police with a search warrant looking for "weapons of mass destruction" and stealing their legally bought weapons. This was all possible due to the Patriot Act and the fascism that we're living under. This was a "preemptive" attack against our sisters and brothers of the Black Riders. The Black Riders are our comrades. We need to stand with them. They are being targeted because they are a revolutionary Black organization fighting against this system. This is just the beginning. The police state is trying to set precedents with the Black Riders as they are doing with the San Francisco 8, so that they can go after anybody who chooses to resist and rebel against this oppressive way of life. "If they come for me in the morning, they will come for you at night." The Black Riders urge other communities and social justice organizations to support them. The system is trying to isolate them and crush them. At this point they need support and need to raise money for their defense.
