To the son I never raised

by Alphoncy Dangerfield Sr.

alphoncy-dangerfield-web, To the son I never raised, Abolition Now! I see life through two sets of eyes, yours and mine!

I see through your eyes, even when they are cloudy

With tears from the loneliness that my imprisonment

Has caused your heart to ache, and yearn for my

Presence, like the rest of the kids you see with

Their fathers who take them to school, a walk in the

Park, field trips or even playing catch with a

Baseball. I see the pain through your eyes.

I see life through two sets of eyes, yours and mine!

I also see the happy times I missed, your first two

Teeth, and your first steps, and your first words

“Da-Da” – Your first day of school, and your first

Girlfriend. To the son I never raised, I see life

Through two sets of eyes, yours and mine, but most

Of all I see your love and forgiveness. Hey “I love

You too.” To the son I never raised.

By your Daddy, from the heart

Send our brother some love and light: Alphoncy Dangerfield Sr., 224668, Waupun Correctional Institution, P.O. Box 351, Waupun WI 53963.
