“Recent polls conducted by developer Lennar Corp.’s ‘Yes on G’ campaign show that while the measure is ahead 50 percent to 30 percent, Daly’s ‘companion’ Proposition F is leading by an even wider margin – 58 percent to 31 percent. And even if Prop. G gets more votes, Prop. F needs only simple majority approval to take effect.

The International Longshore & Warehouse Union (ILWU), known for its militant and democratic traditions as well as its economic and social justice activism, has written a new chapter in its glorious labor history by shutting down all 29 ports on the West Coast for eight hours on May Day.

My brother, James Smith, was brutally beaten by the Elk Grove Police Department. We just got hold of the police report and the lies that they put in it. My brother has no criminal record. His roommates were also assaulted. The police officers were not justified.

San Francisco – Monday, a coalition of 20 environmental, civic and social justice organizations along with state and local elected leaders called upon the Board of Supervisors and the mayor to halt the plan to build a natural gas power plant project in San Francisco. The group cited problems with pollution, environmental justice and global warming.
