Muni don't like Black people! First they build this light rail through our community, knowing that the community is already suffering and young people are killing themselves every day due to the lack of jobs and resources. They offer us no jobs or on-the-job training, and to add insult to injury, they have Muni police - actual police officers, not the people you see on other buses blocking the back - asking to see a transfer, patrolling the train and, as soon as you hit the ballpark, you've entered "white-man" territory and yo Black butt is history.

"We are not afraid of these politicians who are trying to criminalize our youth," said Renee Saucedo to a crowd gathered in front of San Francisco City Hall to protest San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera's recent gang injunctions. In November, a San Francisco judge upheld the City Attorney's application for the latest injunction, which prohibits certain individuals' presence within the injunction zones.

San Francisco, Alameda and San Mateo counties are the worst in the U.S., though racial disparities found in 97% of counties studied.

Washington - A new report released Tuesday by the Justice Policy Institute finds that 97 percent of the nation's large-population counties imprisoned African-Americans at a higher rate than whites. The counties with the worst discrepancies are San Francisco, Alameda and San Mateo.
