Open letter to Habitat's Tim Thomas regarding Tassafaronga Village

It would be foolish of Habitat for Humanity to expect people to remain silent as we watch Habitat's project at Tassafaronga Village force the eviction and displacement of 75 families of poor African-Americans from their decent, safe, warm, habitable homes. Tassafaronga Village was remodeled as recently as 1991 for $7.4 million, and all that beautiful housing is still good and very valuable to its current occupants.
