![]() Ernst Ford Richard Wright, W.E.B. DuBois, Assata Shakur, Pete and Charlotte O’Neal, Randall Robinson, Kwame Toure and a host of others took refuge in other countries. They left this empire, whose so-called democratic values are being stuffed down the throats of Iraqis, Afghans, Haitians and others. This empire violates more human rights than any backward nation on this planet. Yet it finds the audacity to promote itself as human rights champion. Supreme KKKourt “Justice” Roger Taney made it clear to Dred Scott and to all that “you have no rights that a white man is bound to respect.” If you don’t believe it, ask the over 3,000 men, women and children who have been assassinated by bloodthirsty cops all over this nation. It is alleged that a “suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.” Not if you’re Black! Ask U.S. political prisoners who are entombed alive in gulags, concentration camps, dungeons and cages all over this stolen country. Better yet, ask those who ran away from the empire. Amerikka is a champion indeed: champion of human rights violations. Don’t get things twisted. You have no rights in this country if you’re Black.
Ernst Ford is a political activist – originally from Haiti – who was beaten unconscious and arrested by Philadelphia police during a demonstration against police terrorism. A “suspect” had been choked to death with a police nightstick. His windpipe was crushed, according to the medical examiner’s office. Ford was on probation for a year. On Oct. 23, 2007, he was off probation, but he owes the probation office $300. Please help by sending him a donation through the Bay View. Make your check or money order payable to Ernst Ford and mail it to SF Bay View, 4917 Third St., San Francisco CA 94124, or call (415) 671-0789 to donate by credit card. |
